RE: Steps to port free rtos to PIC Posted by Richard on March 28, 2010 Yes - if you are using a PIC24, dsPIC or PIC32, then start with the demo project provided in the main FreeRTOS download for your chosen microcontroller. That way you will start with a known good working project, and can then adapt it to add in the functionality you need. You should not need to port anything, other than maybe a few IO to get different LED's and the like working.
