RE: porting iar 430F449 example to 430FG461 mcuPosted by Dave on June 23, 2010 Are you using the MSP430X port? The port in the FreeRTOS download is not going to work on that part. “when I put a breakpoint in tasks.c file, my code is stopping this line
/* Just to help debugging. */ memset( pxNewTCB->pxStack, tskSTACK_FILL_BYTE, usStackDepth * sizeof( portSTACK_TYPE ) );
Why is it happening?” Is that the line you put the break point on?
RE: porting iar 430F449 example to 430FG461 mcuPosted by Cirith on June 24, 2010 I m using freertos 6.0.5 and the Demo application is called msp430_IAR, it was ported for msp430f449 and I d like to port it to msp430fg4619. I changed the header file for new mcu from "msp430x44x.h" to "msp430xG46x.h" inside the "freertos_config.h" and corrected the errors regarding register differences. I think I should correct heap or stack size but I can not find a solution. “ Is that the line you put the break point on? ” Yes I put a breakpoint on this line and after this line. After one step from this line, I see this image below;
RE: porting iar 430F449 example to 430FG461 mcuPosted by Richard on June 24, 2010 As DaveDoors said - the port in the FreeRTOS download is not going to work on that part. You need an MSP430X port, the best source for which (currently) is http://www.westmorelandengineering.com.
