Earlier we thought it would be wise to concentrate on all official functionality: the API's that are conform the BSD socket interface. The call-back functions are very handy, but they must be used with care because they execute from within the IP-task. Many things are forbidden when called, such as: blocking calls and calling certain +TCP API's. It is on the TODO list!
