uIC - IAR v5.10 port to Atmel AT91SAM7X-EK

Posted by jean on July 22, 2007
Hello, there is an existing uIC ARM7 port using IAR embedded workbench 4.x, however, IAR have a new version and I am unable to compile without errors. I have downloaded the 30 days trial version (5.10) of embedded workbench.
I am new to IAR, FreeRTOS and to the Atmel eval board. Is anybody can help?

Thanks in advance!

The marketing information I received from IAR stated that switching from 4.x to 5.x requires an update to the project file and update the source files. The project file is updated automatically when you open the project from a 5.x version, the source files have to be updated manually. I would have thought that just the linker script and C startup code required update, you would have to check with IAR to see what needs changing.

I think there is also a new V4.x version which is backward compatible.

Regards.
