FreeRTOS running on TriCore TC1798 MCU, help

Posted by Zsolt on January 23, 2013
Hello,

I found a demo for TriCore family on FreeRTOS's site.

http://www.freertos.org/Interactive_Frames/Open_Frames.html?http://interactive.freertos.org/entries/187909-tricore-tc179x-with-mpu-support-using-tasking-vx-toolset

I have TriCore 1798 microcontroller and I would like to know this demo Operating System is able to run on it. True, I read the readme.txt of demo.

And How can I use that with Free TriCore Tool Chain development Platform?
I am beginner in that RTOS.
Thanks for your answers

Zsolti

I'm afraid I cannot support contributed (unofficial) code, but there is an official TriCore port that uses the free toolchain here:

http://www.freertos.org/FreeRTOS-for-Infineon-TriCore-TC1782-using-HighTec-GCC.html

I'm not sure what the differences are between the 1782 and 1789 parts though.

Regards.
