i'm a newbie in RTOS, reading the INTERRUPT CHAPTER of the pic32 practical guide, it was spoken of P() and V() operation applied to binary semaphores, but it wasn't explained before what does it mean ?

once more, thank you dave. my doubt comes from a choice to do : i was not sure if theses fetaure was FreeRtos specific or general os concept. I'm reading this pic32 guide and i'm very pleased to understand because of the very nice explanation. Authors have done a great and carefuul writer job.

DAVE : can i ask you an advice ?, after this book, could you tell me another book to continue reading experience about free rtos
