[FreeRTOS Home] [Live FreeRTOS Forum] [FAQ] [Archive Top] [September 2011 Threads] FreeRTOS - Practical guide Posted by Ban Moris on September 14, 2011 I have a question if the examples included in the standard edition can be build on using GCC instead of open source Open Watcom and the resulting executable run on Linux OS?
RE: FreeRTOS - Practical guide Posted by Richard on September 14, 2011 The simple answer is "no". There is a plan to update the examples to instead use the Win32 simulator, but the Visual Studio Express version, not the Eclipse/GCC version. Maybe it would be better to use the Eclipse/GCC version instead, but, in any case, that is not going to happen any time soon.
Regards.
RE: FreeRTOS - Practical guide Posted by Ban Moris on September 14, 2011 Yes, it will really make sense to update the example to use Eclipse/GCC version, since a lot of (open sorce) developer and researcher are working on unix-like OS...
