There is a new osram96x16.c shipped with the eval board.

The version in the FreeRTOS demo fails to initialise the display at power-on. It's OK if you then hit the reset button.

The new osram96x16.c sends each initialisation command to the display individually rather than in one long I2C transfer. It also has longer delays.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am looking into what is required to update the code.
