Get task state

Posted by saiberion on December 6, 2006
Hi,

is it somehow possible to find out the state of a Task with a function call like vGetTaskState(xTaskHandle) or how can I find out if (in my case) a task is suspended.

In tasks.c

portBASE_TYPE xIsTaskSuspended( xTaskHandle xTask )
{
portBASE_TYPE xReturn;

portENTER_CRITICAL();
xReturn = listIS_CONTAINED_WITHIN( &xSuspendedTaskList, &(xTask->xGenericListItem ) );
portEXIT_CRITICAL();

return xReturn;
}

Thanks but this function seems to be implemented in xTaskResume(xTaskResumeFromISR in 4.1.3
But unfortunately the whole system hangs up if it tries to wake while it is ready.

I don't understand your reply here. The poster has provided the code to do what you require, but the code does not already exist, you have to add it to the tasks.c file.

Regards.
