Step 2: Downloading a Driver and Middleware Package Using STM32CubeMX

Although the STM32Cube embedded software packages are available as standalone free software downloads, it is convenient to download them from within the STM32CubeMX software.

Workflow steps:
  1. Select "Install new Libraries" from the STM32CubeMX's "Help" menu. The New Libraries Manager window will appear.

  2. In the new New Libraries Manager window, select the driver package that is specific for the STM32 family that will be used.

  3. Click "Install Now" to download and install the selected library and close the New Libraries Manager Window.

  4. Close the New Libraries Manager window when the installation is complete.
